Cycling Breaks in the Peak District and Derbyshire

Traffic-free paths, quiet lanes, pretty villages and unspoilt countryside, the perfect combination for a cycling break!

One of the best ways to discover the Peak District and Derbyshire is by bike, so we've put together a series of themed ideas for you to plan your own get-away-from-it-all cycling break.

Traffic-free paths, quiet rural lanes, pretty villages and unspoilt countryside combine to provide the perfect short break cycling holiday in the Peak District National Park. Whether you're already a cycling enthusiast or not, this break is a great way to enjoy the outdoors on a truly green, healthy break.

Our routes introduce you to the delights of White Peak villages and the lovely Manifold Valley. Bikes can be hired from the Peak District National Park Authority's excellent cycle hire centre at Parsley Hay, or you can bring your own if you prefer.

Free route descriptions/maps are available for both the Manifold Valley and the White Peak Villages routes – all you need do is choose the day you want to start, book your accommodation and go at your own pace!
