Silva Map and Compass Weekends at The Silva Navigation School

The Silva Navigation School runs high quality map and compass courses designed to teach walkers, mountain bikers and others who need accurate navigation in the countryside, essential map and compass skills.

The courses are open to all, but potential participants should be aware that the courses are practical in nature and involve at least two walks per course. Whilst allowance can be made for individuals with specific needs it is important for individuals to assess for themselves whether they are able to walk up to ten miles per day on rough, sometimes steep ground.
