Cycling at Wetton
OUR ROUTES WILL introduce you to the delights of White Peak villages and the lovely Manifold
Valley. Bikes can be hired from the Peak District National Park Authority's superb
cycle hire centre at Parsley Hay, or you can bring your own if you prefer.
Accommodation (see below) is available in local country guesthouses, farmhouse
B&Bs or hotels in the nearby towns of Buxton and Ashbourne as well along the
route. Evenings can be spent in one of our suggested local pubs or restaurants.

Cycle the Dales – White Peak Villages
This circular route offers you the opportunity to visit some of the most picturesque
villages of the White Peak, that part of the National Park characterised by white
limestone rock – seen in both the landscape and buildings.
The route offers two options depending on how far you want to ride – 21 or 30
miles. This is primarily gentle cycling, although there are some more taxing parts
on the longer option which climbs above the Dove Valley.
Hartington Cycle the Dales – the Manifold Valley
This route explores the Manifold Valley, a delightful contrasting landscape to
the White Peak villages ride.
Comprising two loops with a short linear section between them through the village
of Hartington, this easy ride follows the Manifold Valley track before returning
to Hartington via the picturesque village of Wetton.
The route is 17.5 miles, but it can be extended by cycling a further seven miles
to the end of the Manifold Track and back.
