Wormhill Well Dressing at WormhillThis ancient custom is only found in Derbyshire. Wells have been dressed in Wormhill since the early 1950s and one of the 2 wells dressed is the famous natural well fronting the James Brindley Memorial. James Brindley was a canal engineer who was born in Wormhill Parish. The wells are dressed in thanks for the water they supply. The Church is also open for well dressing week and refreshments are available in the refurbished Village Hall.
