A fabulous single storey 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed self catering cottage, finished to a very high standard and retaining many of the original features, including king post trusses and exposed stonework. Ideally placed at the gateway to the Peak District - with Chatsworth only 4 miles away and Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton and the vibrant City of Sheffield all within easy commuting. There are several pubs serving food all within a mile of the self catering cottage.
The accommodation briefly comprises:
Lounge with wood burning stove and large picture window looking out onto the cobbled courtyard. Double aspect dining kitchen with oak units, electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. The dining table by the window seats four.

There are two excellent en-suite bedrooms: the first with a king-size bed and bathroom with a Victorian roll-top bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet; the second has single beds and bathroom with walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet. Both bedrooms and lounge have flat screen TV's, with DVD and CD in the lounge.

Fabrics, furnishings and fittings have been carefully co-ordinated throughout. The barn has under floor heating and limestone effect solid floors, complemented by occasional rugs.

To the outside, the barn has its own private courtyard at the front with table and chairs and southerly aspect. Alternatively, take a short walk to your own separate seating area where you can enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside, or maybe go for a stroll in the 30 plus acres of the estate and enjoy watching the horses. At dusk you may be fortunate enough to see badgers, foxes or owls.

There is private parking for several cars and good walking straight from your doorstep .

From North/South
Leave M1 motorway at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At traffic light controlled roundabout select right lane and take 4th exit (A61 signposted Sheffield). At next traffic light controlled roundabout (Tesco) take 2nd exit (A61). At next roundabout (Little Chef) take 3rd exit (A61). Follow road for approx 5 miles and, at roundabout select right lane and take 3rd exit (B6057). Follow road to traffic lights and turn right (Wreakes Lane, B6056 signposted Holmesfield). Follow road for approx 1¼ miles to T junction and turn left (Holmesfield Road, B6054). Follow road for approx ½ mile and at mini roundabout bear right onto Main Road (B6054).

From East
Follow A617 to M1 motorway junction, then follow route from North/South.

From West
Follow A619 from Bakewell to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Lidl on left) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and at traffic lights go straight on. At roundabout select middle lane and take 2nd exit (A632). Turn immediately left into slip road to A61. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Tesco) take 2nd exit (A61), then follow route from North/South.
